Introducing … Singer/Songwriter Lists

image

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, singer/songwriter Lists lured us in with the minimal vocals, strings, and softer James Blake-esque melody of “Veil” before surprising us with “Autumn,” an indie folk track channeling Ben Howard or early James Vincent McMorrow. We’re not sure how Lists’ sound ultimately will pan out but by standing at distinct ends of the spectrum, he’s definitely piqued our interest. Have a listen to both tracks below.

But since discovering Satchmode’s debut track “Old Fears,” we’ve been impressed with this LA-based duo’s sounds. Hitting play, we found a beautifully arranged remix; Justin Vernon’s vocals swirled over a downtempo melody punctuated by unexpected guitars. Give it a listen and snag the d/l here.
